Everyone has the right:

Consideration of the notification should take place immediately, at the latest within 7 days. If it is not possible to provide accessibility or an alternative form within this period, it will take place no later than 2 months from the date of notification.

Complaints and appeals

If the public sector body refuses to comply with the request to provide accessibility or an alternative method of access to information, the person submitting the request may submit a complaint regarding the provision of digital accessibility of a website, mobile application or their elements. After exhausting the above-mentioned procedure, is possibility to submit an application to the Ombudsman.

Architectural accessibility

The building of the Tax and Customs Academy in Warsaw (ul. Okrzei 4, 03-710 Warsaw).

  • The Academy does not have its own car park
  • City parking spaces are paid.
  • There are designated public car parking spaces along Okrzei Street, opposite the building of the T&C Academy (paid at parking meters). There are no designated and marked places for people with disabilities nearby.

The building of the T&C Academy is located in the Praga-Północ district, near the intersection with Wybrzeże Szczecińskie Street.

The building can be reached by car or bus number 162 (Warszawa Osiedle Panieńska stop).

Assistance dog

  • It is possible to come with an assistance dog or a guide dog. Please remember to have with you your assistance dog's certificate and vaccination certificate.

Entrance to the building

  • The entrance to the building is located from the side of Okrzei Street. There is no guiding path for blind and visually impaired people in the area. The entrance to the building is not at the sidewalk level (2 steps).
  • Stairs lead to the entrance.
  • There is a handrail at the stairs.
  • The door must be opened manually.
  • The door opens outwards.
  • It takes much force to open the door.
  • The door has a comfortable and ergonomic handle.
  • The width of the entrance door is 90 centimeters.
  • There is a need to use an intercom at the entrance door.
  • There is also a second entrance to the building from the side of Wybrzeże Szczecińskie Street, at the level of the sidewalk, with a threshold about 2,5 cm high. To use it, please ring the bell or the reception (phone no 22 511 21 50). We apologize for the inconvenience.

The space behind the entrance

  • here is a small vestibule and another door that also opens outwards behind the main entrance. Behind the door there is an elongated hall. There is a reception desk on the left side of the door where you can receive information on how to move around the building. There are tables and chairs opposite it. On the right side of the door, in the passageway, there are two pillars with sides of approx. 35 cm. Further, at a distance of 5 meters, there are stairs to the first floor (on the left) and a corridor (on the right), which leads to the rooms on the ground floor, including the bathroom.
  • The space is usually quiet and calm.
  • The handling point is located behind the second entrance door on the left.

Horizontal lines

  • The rooms are located on 2 floors.
  • Some corridors are not accessible to people in wheelchairs.

Vertical lines

• Other floors can be accessed by stairs.

Stairs

  • There are stairs leading to the first floor.
  • The flight of stairs consists of 23 steps.
  • There is a handrail along the entire length of the stairs.

Rooms

  • About 30% of the rooms are accessible to people in wheelchairs.

Bathroom

  • There is a toilet in the building accessible to people with disabilities.
  • There is a toilet on the ground floor, partially adapted for wheelchair users.
  • The door opens outwards.
  • It is easy to keep the door open.
  • There are no obstacles to entering the bathroom in a wheelchair.
  • The width of the entrance door is 90 centimeters.
  • The maneuvering space is 80 centimeters.
  • The maneuvering space in front of the toilet is 70 centimeters.
  • The handrail is on the right side of the toilet.
